Proposals. Wow wow wow what a sight to see ! No matter how many I photograph I always become a bit emotional and find myself smiling out of joy the entire session.
D had reached out while on island to propose to J during their vacation here to Maui. We had gone over several locations in a matter of just a few days with finally settling on Ironwoods Beach as the chosen location. I know how nerve racking it can be when thinking of popping the big question let alone asking it on a remote island that you have both never been to. To help make the process easier I always send over a very detailed description of the chosen location as well as schedule a phone call that way any questions one might have may be answered. Now when it comes to a surprise proposal I send over a few videos of areas at the chosen location to highlight stunning options of where to ask as well as some detailed drawings of where those areas are kind of looking like a football game play. Overall I always aim to make the planning process as smooth as possible.
When the day came thanks to our clear communication I was able to hide out of sight and capture the big moment between these two. After giving them a second to soak it all in after J said yes I ran down to meet them, introduced myself, and congratulated the two while applauding D for following the plan to a T. We spent the next hour frolicking on the beach soaking in all that sweet sweet love and the bliss of two lovers who were newly engaged.
