Downtown San Diego Couples Photoshoot
San Diego has become one of my favorite locations on the mainland for photoshoots with clients. It’s such a unique city with an endless number of locations to photograph at. Top on my list has been a Downtown San Diego photoshoot where I am lucky to have captured this one towards the end of 2024. The story of how I met this beautiful couple is a bit like a “how I met your mother” tale. In November I had a work trip to San Diego for a brief weekend jump over. During my first day there my best girl friend and I met the snazzy sir in this session in our hotel lobby while waiting on the elevator. We had been waiting for about 15 minutes only to discover when this gentleman showed up that the elevator was sitting there in front of us the entire time. We had a good laugh about it as we road up to our floors together and then parted ways. Later that evening while checking out some of the nightlife the Gaslamp district offered we found ourselves at a lively karaoke bar - About an hour into watching the performances the same man from the lobby came over to our table to say hello. He was there to support his beautiful partner who was about to take the stage ( let me tell you girllll can sing ! ). With what a coincidence it was bumping into each other I threw out the idea of a photoshoot which they were happy to do ! The next morning we met on the rooftop of our hotel which had an incredible lounge area and spent 20 minutes capturing some of the photos you will see in this post.
Though the photoshoot was brief we spent our time together laughing, talking about their love story, and soaking up the amazing Downtown San Diego views.
