Makena Cove Family Photoshoot

As the sun was peeking up over Maui’s volcano Haleakala this beautiful family met me at a hidden gem on island called Makena Cove. This beach is a popular one throughout the day into the early evening for weddings but in the early morning hours is an empty little piece of paradise. We spent our time on the sand and in the water - fully soaking up all the summer goodness one experiences here on island. I think when it comes to photos with children who are older snuggles and playing seem to go out the window for photoshoots. However, I believe that is the perfect time to get those moments in. Though your kids may be growing and are getting closer to adulthood regardless of age they are still your children and you are their parents. Soak up ALL the love from one another just as this sweet family did.
