What kind of photographer am i

As you have probably noticed there are a lot of talented photographers so why choose me ?

Let me first say that I am not the photographer for everyone.. Okay so what does that mean ? I specialize in outdoor sessions. I am all about adventure, keeping it laid back, and having fun while we capture your memories.

I am definitely going to deliver images that spark joy but my goodness we are going to laugh, splash in the water, adventure on a mountain path, and overall just have a really good time while capturing those shots . What is the point of booking a session if you and your loved one(s) aren’t enjoying themselves while we snap those photos ?

I like to break the bubble. From the time you book -> our session together I want to connect with you. Tell me what you like/dislike heck it doesn’t have to be photo related ! I want to know y o u so that when we meet for our session its like friends hanging out. During our session if the wind is blowing and making your hair get a little crazy don’t stress I’m your friendly photographer / hairstylist / wardrobe fixer upper . I’ve got your back on brushing those fly away hairs out of your face or carrying your dress as we hike along a path so it doesn’t get dirty.

Questions

Will you travel to other neighbor islands or the mainland?
Yes ! I will happily island hop on over to a neighboring island or to the Mainland but please note a travel fee is included. Please send me a detailed inquiry to receive a custom quote.
Do you give out RAW images ?
100% no. My style is a big part of my business. Photography is a form of art and only edited images will ever be delivered.
What happens if a lifestyle session needs to rescheduled?
A large majority of my clients are those visiting the island so I understand how rescheduling can be difficult. Please note that I book out pretty far in advance and do not always have availability. If needed to be rescheduled in the same time frame of the already planned vacation I will aim to do my best to reschedule the session.
What is your editing style ?
I am a lover of color and bright bright light. Hawaii is so vibrant in it’s culture and scenery so as you can see in the images I take I aim to capture that in each photo.
Why are your available times set at certain times in the day ?
Upon coming to island you will notice how insanely bright the sun is here. As much as I am a fan of it the best time for sessions are either early morning or in the late afternoon-early evening. The times I send over are a) what is available b) the most ideal time to shoot here on island. If you have an event that is midday I will not say no to capturing it but I always aim to give the best experience possible for your session with the best lighting.
Are you licensed and insured in the state of Hawaii ?
100% yes. I do want to urge you whether you decide to book my services or another photographer’s to make sure you are supporting a legal business. As a small business photographers do need to carry liability insurance and be registered with the state in order to obtain permits to do photoshoots/capture weddings. This is also why I send a PDF locations breakdown to my clients to show the best legal locations here on Maui to do sessions at.
