Surprise Proposal at CliffHouse

When “ C “ reached out to me about planning a surprise proposal for his very lovely girlfriend “ K “ while they were on island I was beyond excited to be apart of such a special moment. The operation was planned by “C” and his + “K’s” close girlfriend who scouted out gorgeous locations from the mainland on where to pop the big questions. The location chosen is called Cliffhouse, located in Napili on Maui’s West side which is well known for its beautiful lava rocks, is a gorgeous place to go swimming, and is right next to stunning resorts with amazing restaurants close by. Once landing on island “C”, his friend, and I met for a brief in person introduction/meeting to go over the plan while “K” and her girlfriend shopped. The big day came and so did a not so pleasant tropical storm. For each session booked I always scout the forecast a week out just in case a location change needs to be made. Well this storm decided that it was going to make it rain alllll over the island so we crossed our fingers and hoped the rain would cease during their session. “C” lead “K” down a beautiful grassy path do the lava rocks that opened up to the sea. Unknown to “K” I hid out of sight to capture “C” asking the question and it’s a good thing it was windy/rainy out because my eyes definitely teared up while capturing her reaction. Once they had their special moment I introduced myself and these two troopers braved the not so paradise weather for some couple photos. Despite being rained on through out 98% of the session both “C” + “K” were absolutely amazing and the sweetest individuals. It was very clear to see how much they love each other . At the end of our session all the way up until I delivered the gallery I must have said how happy I was for them + congratulations ten trillion times but my goodness this session despite the nasty weather was one for the books.
