Engagement Session in West Maui
So this is LOVE
There is just something about photographing an newly engaged couple. Maybe it’s seeing the excitement in their eyes of soaking in they will be spending forever together or just how contagious their happiness is. Despite the thought of planning a destination wedding here in Hawai’i during a pandemic M + S were beyond a joy to be around. They drove from the South side of Maui to the West side before the sun had even risen to meet me for an amazing adventure engagement session.
Our shoot began in Kapalua at one of my favorite locations called Ironwoods Beach. With how open the beach is once that sun peeked over the West Maui Mountains the beach lit up ! We snapped photos on some rocky cliffs above the rolling waves, in some pine trees that hug the sandy beach, and next to the many shades of blue down on the sand. Though to add to the magic we ventured over to a hidden gem to add in even more unique scenery. A little dose of Hana on the West Side lies one of my favorite bays where the trees have vines that cascade down to the forest floor. Drenched in green light with a quick outfit change M + S were still full of joy as we snapped photos under the green canopy.
