Maui Maternity Photoshoot
An early morning maternity photoshoot in Lahaina
A + A are expecting their little boy not too long from now - They arrived to our session together early, ready to go, and with some Starbucks in hand ( as a big lover of Starbucks I fully support this decision ). The beach our session was scheduled to take place on had it’s winter version in full effect with a high tide, a breeze blowing, and some waves breaking by the reef. Though in the perfect world for the style I photograph I would have loved sunshine and calm water something about the winter vibe made for some very dreamy photos and worked perfectly with the outfits A + A had chosen.
A + A were wonderful and adventured with me up and down the beach. During the session we had sea turtles pop up in front of us and spurts of sunlight that made the sand have a beautiful glistening glow to it. Having photographed at this particular beach location so often I have been aiming to find unique views for each session there recently. This not only spices things up for me as the photographer but then gives a wonderful variety of images for my clients. Lately I have been a huge fan of adding some color with some bougainvillea that grows by the entrance to the beach. With this session along with the bougainvillea A had a plumeria flower in hand that was handed to her by a sweet lady on the beach. Back home in Texas they have bougainvillea that grows by their house but they also were gifted a plumeria tree for the loss of their first unborn child. It was beautiful to be able to celebrate this pregnancy but it was heartwarming we were able to honor their first little one with the sweet plumeria bloom.
congratulations A + A
