If you are reading this post then you are in the beginning stages of the next big chapter of your love story - how exciting ! I will give you a gold star right in the get go for planning to propose while in Hawaii, the beauty here makes for the perfect backdrop for such a big occasion. I know with this next step you want it to be special and to help with that I am going to go over some of the best areas here in Maui to propose at. There are a lot of options to choose from which is helpful for finding one that feels like it is the best fit for the two of you. Let’s dive in —
the beach
It’s no surprise that this category would be first since it is the most popular, with good reason, since it is hard to compete with the stunning beaches here in Hawaii. Each side of Maui is unique meaning the beaches will have a different look depending where you are at. If you are wanting the classic looking Hawaiian scenery of palm trees, light sand, and blue water you’ll find that more on the South Side of Maui in Kihei, Wailea , and Makena. The entire coastline on the South end is full of gorgeous beaches that offer beautiful tropical scenery. When it comes to planning/traveling I am visual person where I like to see examples of locations. Many of the resorts here on Maui are geared to have beautiful scenery and beach front access. If you love where you are staying you may 100% stick with proposing on your hotel’s property. A number of the resorts offer a service for proposals such as a private set up on the property, an intimate dinner, or access to certain scenic points only allowed for hotel guests.
