If I could bottle up this session and relive it over and over again I would. The magic that was made with this lovely family paired with the dreamiest morning sunlight on the gorgeous property of Mauna Lani Resort made the perfect recipe for an incredible photoshoot.

I have had the pleasure of photographing the O family three times now - on Maui, in Southern California, and now on Big Island. It has been a joy being there to document the different stages of their growing family. A, the mother of that adorable family of four above this text, is an incredibly talented photographer herself. Whenever photographing a fellow photographer it’s always fun bonding over our passion for photography but in this case we also discovered we both attended the same small dance studio in my hometown as little girls. Talk about a small world ! The connection that I am fortunate to form with my wonderful clients honestly is the biggest blessing in this line of work. As much as I love traveling and documenting getting to know the people I am working with has brought some of the sweetest friendships.

Diving into this photoshoot it was my second time photographing on the Mauna Lani property. Though I love the landscapes and resorts on Maui the Mauna Lani Resort truly has it all with the classic Hawaii coastline. perfect lighting, and so many unique areas around the property to photograph at. This session was a two hour session which allowed for a full photoshoot with A, her husband, and her daughters as well as some photos of their entire family during our time together. Two hours may sound like a daunting amount of time for a photoshoot to last for - especially with little ones - but let me tell you it's a breeze. The timeframe allows for us to all become comfortable with one another and the entire duration of our photoshoot is very go with the flow. This allows for us to explore , play, and check off any posed captures one may want. There is also time for an outfit change if desired or the opportunity to do a land and water photoshoot where you get those beach photos as well as photos in the ocean.

The images shared in this post may seem like a lot but honestly it’s just a few highlights of the stunning photos captured that day.
