Though sometimes when it comes to traveling families plan to stay at the resort or one certain area for the duration of their trip. With Oahu Waikiki is a popular location for visitors with it’s beautiful beaches, many shops/restaurants , and buzzing nightlife . The photoshoot below took place in the early evening at a permitted beach located in beautiful Waikiki, Oahu. The Waikiki area is the most populated area for visitors in all of Hawaii. When dreaming of a Hawaii photoshoot many envision a sunset session on one of HI’s beaches. Though sunsets are out of this world here if you plan for a session in Waikiki during this time it is super important to note the shoreline will be crowded. If you would like to have less people on the sand I highly urge you to book a sunrise session when people are not yet awake or just starting the day leaving the beaches much more empty.

Oahu has calmer trade winds than Maui but being in the middle of the ocean trade winds are present on all of the islands. Keep this in mind when it comes to scheduling your photoshoot. Mornings tend to have calmer weather with little or no wind present. Early evenings into sunset 99% of the time stronger trade winds will be present.
