I have photographed a number of proposals and am here to help make this moment for you both absolutely perfect. When inquiring about a proposal I like to hear any ideas you may have in mind but am available to offer some stunning locations as well. I keep everything very detailed but nice and easy to help take away any anxiousness you might be feeling. If you want to add a pop of color with some romantic florals I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best florists on island and can send you their way to help make this big moment spectacular ! I wanted to capture candid photos of my girlfriend and me as I proposed to her at a beautiful location and then follow that with a surprise formal photoshoot. Gaylin was phenomenal from start to finish. I couldn't be happier about choosing to work with her on this shoot and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to do a vacation photo shoot in Maui. The Planning : I came into this with no idea where I wanted to do the proposal, so I had a lot of questions right out of the gate, but Gaylin was very responsive, patient, and accommodating throughout. She sent dropbox links with pictures and videos for multiple locations and multiple options at each location. She also included photos of some of her past proposal shoots to show samples of what some of the locations looked like. It really helped in making my decision and coming up with plans B and C if we needed to pivot for any reason. The Photoshoot : As we got closer to the shoot date, we swapped phone numbers so that she could text me with any last-minute updates regarding parking, weather, tide, etc., and so I could let her know what my fiance and I were wearing once we arrived at the location. Gaylin pretended to be another tourist taking photos as I led my fiance down to the spot where I would pop the question. She got some great candid photos of the actual proposal before coming down to introduce herself and surprise my fiance with the fact that I hired a photographer. She then directed an hour-long shoot for us and made it so much fun and light-hearted. We had a great time and ended up with a ton of great pictures. The Results : At the end of the shoot, my fiance and I were expecting to hear that the photos would be ready in a few weeks at the very earliest, but Gaylin said that she would have them submitted by the following morning! The package I initially purchased included 30 photos, but we ended up selecting 50 because there were just that many we couldn't live without! It has been over a week now, and I still can’t believe I pulled this off without my fiance suspecting a thing. She was completely blown away by the whole experience, and now we have an incredible story to tell for the rest of our lives, with the photos to prove it! I definitely couldn’t have done it without Gaylin’s professional help. This was truly one of the most magical moments of our lives.
